ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Inspect aircraft/support equipment, components, engines and accessories for surface integrity or corrosion products in accordance with Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIMs), Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPBs), Technical Directives (TDs), Maintenance Check Lists (MCLs), and company work and maintenance instructions. Remove paint or other protective materials using approved tools, agents and techniques. Remove corrosion products using approved tools, equipment and techniques. Prepare surface for painting. Protect other surfaces or component parts not being painted by using masks, covers or other approved techniques. Coat surfaces or aircraft components, engines or aeronautical support and appropriate materials, using approved equipment. Paint insignia, letters or numerals as required. Coordinate with supervision and Quality Control to resolve questions concerning serviceability and/or on repair procedures. Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.
