Laboratory Technician I

Job description

The Laboratory Technician I performs testing of basic components and systems in accordance with engineering specifications, procedures and acceptable industry standards in support of senior technicians. This position will serve our US Air Division , located in Fort Smith, AR . - Use blueprints and drawings to design sheet metal components and general assemblies. - Apply standards-based methods for empirical testing to evaluate assigned problems. - Apply the basics of air flow measurements and computations including temperatures (dry bulb, wet bulb, dew point, relative humidity) and pressure incorporating temperature relationships to test setup and execution. - Setup, adjust, and change test samples and setups for testing and perform the required testing in accordance with engineering specifications or defined test practices. - Collect, analyze, interpret, summarize, and document data and information gathered during testing. - Operate, maintain, and repair test equipment, instrumentation, and systems in accordance with engineering specifications or defined test practices. - Use of hand tool including welding and brazing tools. - Demonstrate an understanding of how to operate compute...
