Description POSITION SUMMARY: Provides transportation for the clients from their homes to the center and for appointments during the day. Cleans vehicles, checks regularly for safety, and maintains scheduled maintenance. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following represents most of the duties performed by the position but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary: - Drive vehicles in a safe and responsible manner utilizing defensive driving skills and in adherence to LIFE program policies and procedures, following assigned routes. - Load and unload clients in and out of LIFE program vehicles and assist clients up to and from their homes in adherence to LIFE Transportation program policies and standards of practice. - Transport clients to all requested appointments that have been arranged by the transportation dispatcher. - Ensure proper wheelchair securement when required. - Maintain safety and cleanliness of assigned vehicle and coordinate scheduling of van maintenance with transportation dispatcher. - Maintain the confidentiality of all company procedures, results, and information about clients or families regardless of...
