Shop Foreman (Grande Prairie)

Job description

Position Summary The Shop Foreman is primarily responsible for managing the allocation of shop personnel to ensure the efficient flow of materials through various shop operations. This role requires close collaboration with the Operations Team to identify and schedule upcoming material demands, ensuring seamless delivery to our clients. The Shop Foreman must be able to identify process bottlenecks and implement measures to resolve them before they impact operations. Responsibilities: - Apply warehousing best practices, including First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory control. - Read and interpret job sheets and equipment packages based on client requirements. - Use the GAMS inventory system to create shipments, assign equipment to jobs, receive returned equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records. - Maintain knowledge of TDG regulations , including required documentation and proper load securement. - Perform cleaning, general maintenance, bump testing, and calibration of gas detection equipment, including 4-head monitors, pump monitors, mesh guard systems, and relay kits. - Conduct maintenance, cleaning, and inspection of breathing air systems, including air trailers, bulkers,...
