DEPARTMENT: School of Social Work POSITION TITLE: Lecturer Pool – Social Work POSITION DETAILS: The School of Social Work at Sacramento State is one of the largest accredited social work programs in California. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to training a highly diverse study body to prepare the next generation of social work professionals for our region, and beyond. The School prepares ethical and competent generalists and specialized social workers who can both lead and serve our rich and intersectionally diverse communities in the development and delivery of psychosocial and clinical services that contribute to human wellbeing and social justice. We offer a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) for generalist practice. For the Master of Social Work degree, we offer three pathways: a traditional two-year program, an extended part-time (three-year) program, and an Advanced Standing (one-year) program for those who hold an accredited BASW degree (within 5 years of application). MASW students specialize in one of three areas: behavioral health; health and aging; or practice with children and families.
