The incumbent is responsible for performing complex procedures in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( MRI ) through the operations of radiographic equipment to obtain highest quality of diagnostic images . The Level III technologist will execute all duties of a level I and II while demonstrating i ndependent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative essential to responsibility of designated areas, procedures, and equipment. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS: Coordinate/manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures. Supervises as well as performs diagnostic imaging studies under the direction/supervision of a radiologist. Assist radiologists and PhD's in developing new protocols and MRI imaging techniques that are unique to facility. Participate in research initiatives and development of research protocols.
