APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE. The Electrical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking part-time to nearly full-time lecturer position(s) available for the 2026-2027 academic year to teach undergraduate and graduate Electrical Engineering courses. Part-time appointments are made from a pool of approved applicants, as determined by need, and contingent on funding. The anticipated Electrical Engineering needs are in the areas of digital design, electric circuit analysis, electronics, electric power systems, and communication systems. Candidates with extensive industry experience are encouraged to apply. Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.
