Job Description On June 16, 2022, Governor Kathy Hochul signed the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust Act, which authorized the creation of the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust (the Trust). The Trust is a public benefit corporation that will oversee the renovation and rehabilitation of the City’s public housing developments, owned by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). NYCHA will remain the permanent owner of the land/buildings and will enter a long-term ground lease with the Trust to secure Section 8 vouchers. The selected Resident Buildings Superintendent will be a NYCHA employee assigned to Nostrand Houses who will work on behalf of the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust. Helping operate a property under Project-Based Section 8, the Superintendent will supervise the operation and maintenance of Nostrand Houses, support compliance with inspection requirements (including HQS/NSPIRE), oversee response to work orders and preventive maintenance, and coordinate with Property Management, trades, vendors, and the Design-Builder during construction and post-construction activities.
