Job Description Regularly inspects and cleans respiratory therapy equipment to ensure infection control. Maintains, orders, and keep records of department supplies. Job Responsibility: 1.Disassembles, cleans, sanitizes and reassembles respiratory therapy equipment, utilizing pasteurization process and cold sterilization process, and adhering to high standards of infection control. 2.Maintains and stocks adequate inventories of departmental supplies, equipment, apparatus, etc., maintains inventory control system and orders supplies/equipment, as required. 3.May perform preventive maintenance activities and/or minor repairs on respiratory therapy equipment. 4.May examine emergency units throughout facility to assure proper functioning of manual resuscitators, and related equipment. 5.Transports compressed gas cylinders to laboratories and patient areas, as required. 6.Performs related duties, as required. Job Qualification: 1.High School Diploma or equivalent, required. 2.Knowledge and demonstration of competencies of department equipment must be obtained within the probationary period. 3.Must be able to transport heavy cylinders of gas. 4.Ability to communicate effectively. *Additio...
