Job description

As the Law Clerk, you will develop a basic understanding of the legal foundations of a renewable energy project developer and owner. You will deploy your outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail to create a more efficient method for accessing information about Scout’s legal agreements. The Law Clerk will report directly to the General Counsel and other attorneys on Scout’s legal team. You will be responsible for developing a database of executed contracts and providing support on a range of other legal tasks. The organization resulting from your work will help Scout’s legal team build a strong foundation for the firm’s future growth. Key tasks will include the following: - Reviewing existing non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), master service agreement (MSAs), master consulting service agreements (MCSAs), engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, and real estate agreements, among others. - Identifying key terms and conditions, major deviations from standard agreements, and any other issues of concern. - Assisting with revising contract forms. - Assisting with entity formation and corporate governance related tasks. - Where appropriate, make strategic...
