Overview Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Senior Industrial Hygienist I, II, or III to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS). The Senior Industrial Hygienist I, II or III recognizes, evaluates, eliminates and controls occupational and environmental factors or stresses arising from the workplace or facility that may cause sickness, impaired health or well-being, or significant discomfort and inefficiency among workers or citizens of the community. Responsibilities: A Senior Industrial Hygienist I (Grade 67): - Conducts the monitoring of workplace environments by analyzing work operations, processes, materials, equipment, and work habits of employees - Performs advanced assessments of work exposures; designs basic to complex exposure monitoring strategies - Measures the magnitude of exposure to workers from environmental hazards by selecting or devising methods and instrumentation suitable for such measurements; and presents specific conclusions and recommendations to appropriate management groups - Educates employees on practices...
