Description The Department of Mathematics at the University of Oklahoma (OU) is seeking to strengthen its First-Year Mathematics program, specifically focusing on entry-level mathematics classes. OU is experiencing an exciting multi-year period of growth. We are looking for multiple Instructors/Lecturers in Mathematics who are able to challenge students at an appropriate level and understand the importance of meeting the needs of incoming students, some of whom may have had uneven prior instruction in mathematics. We encourage hard-working, enthusiastic individuals to apply for the renewable term faculty position listed below. For the position(s), normal duties consist of teaching the equivalent of 25 credits per year of entry-level classes and rendering service to the department and university. Limited evening work is expected, which primarily includes proctoring during the uniform examinations. The position may grow into having some leadership responsibilities, most likely related to course coordination.
