Title: Temp Life Guard Department Org: Student Rec Center - 104310 Employee Classification: H6 - Intermittent - Seasonal Hourly Bargaining Unit: Bargaining Unit Exempt: Primary Location: MC AC: Shift: 1: Job Description: This position requires communication, responsibility, and a good sense of customer service. Lifeguards are the main focus of interaction between patrons and employees in the Aquatics department, and are required to act both professional and welcoming at all times. Lifeguards are responsible for enforcing pool rules, performing cleaning duties, and assisting with patron concerns when they arise. Lifeguards are required to always possess up to date certifications in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Lifeguard training, First Aid, as well as AED training. Lifeguards are required to complete a Lifeguard orientation and two shadow shifts before their first day of work, which allows the Lifeguard to confidently perform their duties.
