Description Job Purpose: A Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of various facilities, including buildings, equipment, and grounds. Duties encompass a wide range of tasks, from inspecting equipment or the facility, to addressing emergency repairs and ensuring the safety and functionality of the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform a broad spectrum of repairs to the inside / outside structure of a building. - Repairs plumbing fixtures, pipes and pumps. - Repairs structural damage to walls, windows, floors and ceiling. - Inspect and service equipment, including HVAC. - Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical. - Identifying the root cause of malfunctions and implementing effective solutions. - Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and facility personnel regarding maintenance needs and issues. - Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and other general repairs to maintain the building’s appearance and functionality. - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections. - Construct and maintain cleanrooms.
