The Role: We are currently seeking a Permanent Part Time Family Contact Youth Worker with a therapeutic, person-centred approach who is: - Available to work weekend shifts (every Saturday and Sunday) for family contact - Able to work across multiple locations in Sydney - Available to undertake Youth Worker shifts in residential homes across Greater Sydney as required Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and support contact visits between children and their families (parents, siblings and relatives), ensuring interactions occur in a safe, often community-based setting - Play a key role in maintaining family relationships while safeguarding the wellbeing of children in care - Provide transport for the young person to and from visits - Observe and assess interactions in a non-judgmental manner - Intervene where necessary to protect the child’s w...
