We are hiring in Carmel, NY! Join us at Easterseals NY- Carmel for an exciting career as a Part Time School Counselor for the Summer session. Summer session runs July 6- August 14 What You'll Do: As a School Counselor you will participate in the development of treatment plans and identify appropriate short and long-term social service goals for clients. You will participate in developing and carrying out behavior management programs as indicated. You will provide play therapy/counseling services to students with IEPs and provide social work assessment, counseling and referral. Your Responsibilities Will Include: - Update the master treatment plan based on the changes to the master problem list and social work treatment plans. - Assist client, family and team with short term planning. - Participate and provide recommendations in all relevant interdisciplinary team conferences. - Educate team members about specific psychosocial issues that may be impacting on client's treatment plan. - Establish rapport with families and caregiver support systems with client consent and facilitate family meetings as needed. - Support/educate clients to relevant social, economic and mental health conc...
