Job description

Responsibilities: - Safety Policy Development : Create and implement comprehensive safety protocols, including accident prevention measures and driver handbooks. - Regulatory Compliance : Maintain 100% compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations, including managing Driver Qualification (DQ) files and Hours of Service (HOS) logs. - Driver Training & Coaching : Conduct initial orientations and ongoing safety meetings. Use telematics data to coach drivers on behaviors like speeding or harsh braking. - Incident Management : Lead investigations for all vehicle accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Safety Audits : Perform regular terminal, facility, and field audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety programs. - Maintenance Oversight : Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure all vehicles undergo required inspections (e.g., CVIPs) and preventative maintenance.
