Job description

Overview The Machine Shop Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of machine shop equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and related mechanical systems. This role ensures that all shop equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company and industry standards. Salary: $25- $30/hr DOE: Responsibilities: Inspect, maintain, and repair machine shop equipment to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in CNC and manual machines. Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to the company’s maintenance schedule. Replace worn or damaged machine components such as bearings, gears, seals, belts, and motors. Maintain accurate maintenance records and update service logs. Collaborate with machinists, operators, and supervisors to coordinate repair schedules and minimize production disruptions. Order and manage spare parts inventory as needed. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards. Follow all company safety protocols and wear required PPE.
