Description Employment Status: Part-time: FLSA: Non-exempt/Hourly: Work Schedule: 8:30AM – 2:15PM ( mid-August through mid-May ) The programs calendar compliments the Northeast Independent School District calendar. Reports to : Director: Job Summary: The St. Mark Catholic Preschool Assistant Teacher is a co-architect of the classroom experience. In addition to providing direct care, the Assistant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, socially and spiritually enriching environment for young children, approximately 18 months to 5 years old, during the short-term daytime program. This role focuses on fostering early developmental milestones by supporting structured play, basic instruction, and compassionate care, and executing curricula, while ensuring parents feel confident and secure leaving their children in our care. The Assistant Teacher is also responsible for the work relationship with the Lead Teacher, colleagues, and acting as an important point of contact for the families.
