The University of Minnesota, Department of Pediatrics seeks a MD/DO Physician, board certified or eligible in Pediatrics and Medical Genetics and Genomics, at the rank of Associate or Professor/Academic Track or Assistant Professor/Tenured Track to join the Department of Pediatrics: Division of Pediatric Genetics & Metabolism. This opportunity will include the role of Division Director and potential leadership of the Rare Disease Center of Excellence if interests, experience, and training align. Position Highlights: - Responsibilities will include up to 60% clinical care for children and adults. Additional responsibilities (30%) will include developing the Pediatric Genetics Division into the epicenter of genetic and genomic research, engaging in productive interdisciplinary and inter-institutional clinical and/or research activities; and teaching medical students, residents and fellows. - Director of the Rare Disease Center of Excellence with oversight of clinical operations and research initiatives. - The successful candidate should have an established research program in molecular and/or cellular basis of rare diseases, new diagnostic and/or therapeutic approaches for rare disea...
