The Position: The Design Engineer Manager is responsible for overseeing various engineering projects, processes, budgets, and timelines and making any necessary adjustments in order to ensure successful completion. Responsibilities: WHAT YOU’LL DO: - Manage engineers in the design complex parts, and assemblies using Catia/SolidWorks, or other tools as needed with minimal guidance from management. - Understand stress/thermal analysis on parts and complex assemblies using classical and numerical FEA methods. - Understand monitor and report results of all small-scale tests as well as large scale tests. - Travel to manufacturing plants to assist implementation of new designs and processes. - Work with vendors to obtain required materials. - Meet with customers and make presentations with minimal support from Sales personnel. - Supervise and mentor Design Engineers on large projects. - Write material specifications. - Use product and market knowledge to...
