Trauma Registry (Casual Call, Variable Shift)

Job description

Position Summary: The Trauma Registry retrieves, abstracts, and enters clinical and demographic information into the trauma registry database in accordance with current American College of Surgeons and State of MT coding guidelines. The incumbent is responsible for reporting quality and system issues to the Trauma Coordinator that affect the integrity of the Trauma program. Minimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma or Equivalent - Trauma Registry Course completion within 1 year of hire - 2 years’ clinical experience in healthcare (Emergency Department or acute care preferred) - Preferred: College or vocational training in healthcare - Preferred: Montana Licensure (Emergency Medical Technician) - Preferred: Prior work experience in medical coding or trauma registrar - Preferred: Experience with healthcare quality system Essential Job Functions: - Organize and maintain data systems, which conforms to the standard of the trauma registry operation - Process patient data as established by the American College of Surgeons and the State of MT - Analyze patient data to determine opportunities for improvement - Run reports off of Report Writer to assist trauma coordinator to identify tr...
