Job description
Description A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Ivan D'Orso , in the Department of Microbiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center* to study transcriptional regulatory mechanisms shaping immune cell fate and viral latency . The D'Orso Lab has many exciting, ongoing projects related to the transcription and epigenetic regulation of human and viral genes. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, interested to investigate various basic aspects of transcriptional regulation in the context of immune cell fate responses and HIV-1 latency . To this end, we are using a multidisciplinary approach including cellular and molecular biology, chemical biology, and genomics. The Department of Microbiology provides a dynamic, collaborative, and integrative research and training environment with state-of-the-art facilities.Information on our postdoctoral training program, benefits and a virtual tour can be found at http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/postdocs Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in mechanisms of transcription regulation with a strong background in molecular and cellular biology and/or genomics . The candidate should have a strong publication...
