Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiology - Inpatient

VCU Health System Department of Internal Medicine - Cardiology Division is seeking a full time APP (NP or PA) to provide medical care and treatment to an adult general cardiology population both independently and in collaboration with physicians. The APP will be part of an established group of general cardiology inpatient/procedural APPS with strong interdisciplinary support from pharmacy, nursing, social work, care coordination, PT and OT. The position involves rotation through periprocedural cardiac catheterization service; electrophysiology periprocedural and inpatient service; and an APP-managed inpatient cardiology service with potential for future rotation through stress testing service. The APP cares for patients before and after cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, but is not involved with intraprocedural care of the patient. Required to work 4- 10 hour shifts/week, approximately 5 weekends/year and rotating holidays. Work schedules are subject to change based on patient and service needs.
