Roadway Design Engineer - Entry-Level Department: Transportation: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Baton Rouge, LA: Reporting To: Robbie Lear: Description: Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring an Entry Level Roadway Design Engineer for our Baton Rouge, LA office to work on a variety of Transportation projects throughout Louisiana. Your Primary Responsibilities will include: - Performs engineering analysis and design (2D and 3D) for roadways, intersections and related infrastructure, including new construction and rehabilitation. - Prepares construction plans, specifications, and contract documents for contracting and bidding of construction projects. - Performs analysis and design of stormwater management facilities for roadway drainage. - Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. - Maintains and documents written and verbal communications with clients throughout the development and completion of a project. - Prepares engineering studies and reports. - Prepares project design using sound engineering principles, engineering software and tools.
