POSITION SUMMARY: As a Design Engineer this position will be responsible for design, modeling, estimation-related work, and support of manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate would thrive in a fast-paced environment where extreme attention to detail is required and expected. POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - Read and interpret customer blueprints and specifications. - Design forging configurations and tooling. - Run simulations to optimize the forging shapes & forging conditions. - Work with die manufacturers to specify and manufacture tooling. - Manufacturing operations support. - Communicate and provide information/documents to other departments. - Investigate and analyze data to drive accurate root cause and corrective action efforts. - Perform any assigned special R&D projects. - Perform inspection of forgings and tooling.
