About the role You day to day role is to design and deliver solutions for BT’s customers. Your automation design work will specialise in network solutions. Our customers are generally external customers so you will be recognised with that enhanced level of visibility and responsibility. We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Automation Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation solutions across our infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management. You will play a key role in driving efficiency, consistency, and reliability across complex enterprise environments, working closely with network, cloud, and delivery teams. You’ll be working as part of a dedicated team that spans the globe. As a design Specialist, you’ll be responsible for delivering medium to large automation designs. Working with other designers you may even be the design lead who will be expected to review all components and then deliver the overall design.
