Assists the professional staff with the delivery of services to patients in a variety of settings. Provides direct patient care, and/or one to one observation to selected patients under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse. Assists, escorts and transports patients. A. Clinical/Technical/Service: Age Specific Competencies (Neonate/Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric) - Assists the professional staff with the delivery of services to patients in a variety of settings - Provides direct patient care, including all vital signs, pulse oximetry and assist with ADL. - Performs Patient observations: Safety and Constant/One to One observation to selected patients under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse - Assists, escorts and transports patients - Performs and assists with designated procedures, using aseptic technique as indicated - Assists with patients’ examinations - Obtains and provides nourishment for patients - Provides minor treatments as directed - dressings, application of ace bandages, applications of slings and ice, pediculosis - Assists with application of casts and splints - Prepares, adjusts and teaches the use of crutches and canes - I...
