Job description
In support of the U.S. Navy’s PEO IWS-X initiative, the Senior Security Engineer designs, implements, and tests security systems that protect Critical Program Information (CPI). The role emphasizes hardware/software security, reverse engineering, and program protection across the system development lifecycle. Responsibilities : Qualifications : Skills : - Design, implement, and test security measures to protect CPI. - Plan and execute verification and validation (V&V) activities and test events. - Develop AT Plans, PPPs, Security Classification Guides, and related technical documentation. - Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security measures are integrated across the SDLC. - Assess program risks and develop mitigation strategies. - Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, liberal arts, or related field; master’s degree preferred. - A certification such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ required. - Must have the applicable 8570 / 8140 requirements including certification for IAT Level III. - Active DoD Secret Clearance is required. - Must be able to commute to the Dahlgren, VA area on a daily basis. - 7+ years of experience in security engineering, with integration...
