Description JOB SUMMARY: Within the context of a client and family centered care model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice, and vision and values of the organization, works as part of a multidisciplinary community mental health team providing treatment and consultation according to best practices for children experiencing a severe behavioural, social and emotional problems. Performs diagnostic behavioural assessments, forms diagnostic impressions and develops and implements individualized treatment plan in collaboration with team. Provides treatment services, often by outreach, including functional assessments, family sessions, parent groups and limited individual child counselling. Establishes and maintains relationships based on respect; initiates and participates in case meetings; collaborates, consults, and provides support to colleagues; provides consultative services with school personnel and other community resources; and aids client and family access to services.
