Job Summary: Ensures the effectiveness and efficiency of shared service health information management (HIM) department operations. Supports strategic direction, leader development, maintenance/review/revision of policies and procedures, staffing, quality assessment/improvement, and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies. Organizes functions by establishing clear accountabilities, delegation of duties and appropriate departmentalization without creating silos. Develops and maintains an effective, visible, and well-respected team by selecting, evaluating, coaching, and managing the performance of qualified professionals.
