POSITION TITLE: Aircraft Mechanic II (Fuel System) WORKCENTER: BACK SHOP (Fuel Shop): Essential Responsibilities: - Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul and modify fuel systems. - Drain fuel from tanks and cells. - Perform purge operations on cells and tanks. - Removes, reassembles, and installs components. - Cleans and inspects fuel cells. - Monitors the need for sealants and necessary seals for mission support. - Inspect and repair aircraft fuel systems. - Monitor bench stock, shop stock and Composite Tool Kits (CTK's). - Perform on and off equipment maintenance, as required. - Uses maintenance instructions and technical data for inspections and maintenance in the repair of aircraft. - Provides the specialized knowledge to accomplish difficult repairs and perform major repairs, as needed. - Document discrepancies in the applicable form(s) and inputs data in Maintenance Information Systems. - Orders materials and supplies, as required. - Ensures compliance with applicable safety, housekeeping, tool control, and FOD prevention programs. - Must be able to work, day shift, second shift, third shift, and/or weekend shift, as required. - May be tasked to perform work center addition...
