POSITION PURPOSE: Store Equipment Technician: The Store Equipment Technician performs preventative equipment maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and the necessary repairs needed. Examples of equipment that may be serviced include shopping carts, lifts, food service equipment, balers, electric and manual pallet jacks. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: Diagnoses and repairs store equipment, including troubleshooting malfunctions and breakdowns. Replace defective components as needed. Performs preventative mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment. Completes maintenance schedules of various equipment system components as directed or as outlined by standard maintenance guidelines and procedures. Ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations during all maintenance and repair activities. Collaborates with store leadership regarding equipment needs and maintenance schedules. Performs equipment installation and upgrades. Responsible for documentation and recordkeeping of all maintenance and repair work performed. Performs other duties as needed or assigned by management.
