Overview CVP is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team in providing our Nation's Veterans with Medical/Surgical care services at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. We have full-time, part-time and PRN contract opportunities available. Responsibilities: - Assess the health care needs of patients and develop/maintain a plan of care to meet interdisciplinary goals - Collect and document pertinent data into the electronic patient medical record using designated templates - Complete nursing assessments within required time frames, in accordance with policy and procedure - Perform head-to-toe assessments, insert IV lines, and manage peripheral and central lines - Administer medications including IV medication using Bar Code Medication Administration (BCMA) with 100% accuracy - Coordinate and participate in admission and discharge of patients - Measure vital signs/hemodynamic monitoring including Pain (the 5th Vital Sign), pulse oximetry - Perform wound care including dressing changes (sterile and non-sterile), and obtaining wound cultures as necessary - Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, and tube feeding management as needed - Assist with routine urinary and bowel elimination incl...
