Bonding Inspector A ( Job Number: 340174 ) Description Job Description: · Inspects production or first run parts, units assemblies made from a variety of materials, such as plastic, fiber glass, metal, wood, etc., or inspects types of materials where bonding agents or adhesives are used. · Inspects bonded parts or parts to be bonded prior to, during and after bonding process. · May inspect by disassembling at bond line to determine quality of bond and perform a variety of inspection tests to insure adherence to proper specifications. · Working from blueprints, specifications or verbal instructions, inspects visually or by use of a wide variety of precision measuring instruments, equipment, gauges, jigs, fixtures, templates, etc., to determine acceptability. · Performs difficult inspection layouts and setups to check work to proper standards or specifications. · Rejects items which fail to meet required standards. Using standard mathematical formulas related to the job to inspect weight and balance of rotor blades. · Maintains records, graphs and charts on all bonding procedures, tests and related data.
