JOB SUMMARY: The Department of Dining Services at the University of Connecticut has an opening for a Financial Assistant 2. Under the direction of the Finance Manager 2 or their appropriate designee, the Financial Assistant 2 will assist Business Operations with disbursement vouchers, credit memos and purchase requisitions. In addition, this position will process the annual resident meal plan uploads as required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: maintain accounting records for the department, including billing, collections, and other disbursements. Verifies and enters details of transactions such as invoices, requisitions, meal plans and other disbursements. Reconciles the DDS Main Office's daily cash receipts, verifies and enters Catering invoices into the Kuali Financial System for the department. Updates the Catering alcohol log to easily track information required by the State Liquor Commission and helps provide data for state and non-state labor dollars.
