About The Role The Assistant Supervisor will assist the manufacturing supervisor in the following areas: Safety, Quality, and Production while leading a team of individual contributors on the shop floor. Responsibilities: Safety: Adheres & manages all safety rules and regulations to assure a safe environment for all people. Verifies that all assigned personnel have received all required safety training, including training new hires on Safety Training Module’s (STM’s) when necessary. Maintains assigned shop areas in a neat, orderly, and safe condition by deploying 5S. Participate in safety audits and incident reporting. Quality: Along with Engineering, Quality Control, and Service Dept, ensures that products meet company standards and are built to drawings or specifications using approved methods. Follows all Engineering and Manufacturing memos. Follows all routings set-up for parts. Follows all cut sheets. Consults with the Plant Manager and/or Quality Manager when any deviation is deemed necessary. Production Areas: Conducts start up meeting to share information regarding Safety, Quality and Delivery.
