Job description

As a pharmacy technician III, in a hospital setting, provides specialized services in accordance with department procedures, which may be related to the procurement, preparation, distribution, and storage of drugs, as well as the provision of clinical pharmacy services according to the Pharmacy's role in ensuring safe medication use. Competent in all tasks associated with Pharmacy Technician Level I and II. Must achieve and maintain certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Coordinates technician staff and activities and/or is responsible for specific advanced duties. Serve as a resource to both pharmacy and nursing staff for issues and questions. Duties are performed under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and according to professional standards and practices. Proficient computer skills.
