JOB SUMMARY: The Cardiology Nurse is responsible for overseeing various clinical functions that impact patient care, patient flow, and patient satisfaction; and maintaining a solid understanding of all relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education: § Holds an active Registered Nurse license and is eligible to practice in the state of Kentucky. § Current certification BLS, ACLS and PALS. Minimum Work Experience: § Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a RN with Cardiac experience. Required Skills: § Technical knowledge of all procedures performed within the department. § Knowledge and skill in applying principles, methods, and techniques of non-invasive theory to manage patient care. § Must possess leadership skills. FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS: Physical Requirements: Sitting - 16-31%: Walking - 16-31%: Standing - 16-31%: Bending/Squatting -1-15%: Climbing/Kneeling - 1-15%: Twisting - 16-31%: OSHA Category: Minimal potential for direct body fluid exposure Visual and Hearing Requirements: Must be able to hear clearly with assistance.
