CNC Hard Turn Operator

Job description

Job Summary This position requires the ability to set-up, operate or tend to hard turn grinding and related tools for the Mazak CNC Hard Turn operation. Essential Functions: - Operate and tend to Mazak CNC machine. - Load, unload, make simple offsets, and change wheel packs. - Troubleshoot programs, create, and dress wheel packs. - Set up machine per the setup sheet or customer print. - Verify machine setup by inspecting and verifying product characteristic are within tolerance per the part print specifications. This is done on the 1st piece and throughout the process run using the appropriate measuring device suitable for the required tolerance. - Clean parts and move them to the next operation. - Perform weekly or monthly machine maintenance. - Maintain tools. - Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. - Assist and train, as needed.
