Job Title: GIS Special Projects Intern Department: Technology Services Rate: $17.50 Pay Grade: 1 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt The GIS Special Projects Intern will provide support to the GIS team leads with a focus on tasks to update the attribution and mapping accuracy of critical GIS layers. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Follow defined processes to update attributes of GIS features based on historical record documents. - Update mapped locations of GIS features based on associated record documents and GPS coordinates. - Assist with preparing and updating customized maps (derived from GIS data and other data sources). - Assist members of the Pittsburgh Water team in completing field surveys of critical assets using high-accuracy GPS units. - Provide updates at departmental and team meetings to communicate the status of assigned project work. - Other related duties as assigned.
