Job Description: Position Title or Job Classification: CNC Programmer Business Unit: Terex Utilities: Location: Huron, SD: Position Description: This position supports Utilities Operations by working closely with manufacturing engineers. By utilizing experience, knowledge of the business, hands on skill, and creativity this position will help production areas meet or exceed the customer demand. This includes but not limited to improving safety, reducing cycle times, eliminating quality issues, and reducing costs. Responsibilities: - Ability to safely and efficiently program and operate a variety of CNC equipment. - Review CAD models / blueprints - Define the best sequence of machining steps - Decide tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures to be used - Generate program code using CAM software - Conduct quality testing and correct/improve program code to increase efficiency, quality, and safety - Own improvement projects to make positive changes that are aligned with the companies’ objectives. - Participate in problem solving activities - Engage in conversation around problems to help come up with the best possible solution. - Engage in Team meetings - Use cost analysis tools and other pr...
