Job DetailsJob Location: Omaha Zoo - Omaha, NE 68107Position Type: SeasonalJob Title: Animal Care Assistant - Hoofstock FLSA Status: Non-exempt: Classification: Seasonal: Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours/week from early-May through mid-August; 584 total hours available) Pay Rate: $15.40/hour: This is a seasonal position with a maximum duration of six months, based on individual performance and business operations. The exact end date will be determined by the official start date. Summary: We are seeking an energetic individual to assist our full-time staff in taking care of our Hoofstock and Rhino collection. This role will help you develop your animal keeping skills as well as your time management skills. Hoofstock animals include Giraffe, Okapi, Yellow Back Duikers, Plains Zebra, Eastern Bongo, Impala, Cheetahs, White Rhino, Indian Rhino, Takin, Tufted Deer, and Pere David Deer. This position reports to the Hoofstock Supervisor.
