Job description

The head lifeguard handles overseeing the aquatic area and providing work direction to staff while on duty. This individual responds to incidents, emergencies and interacts with parents and participants. The individual provides an elevated level of guest service and ensures the safety of the guests and team members and a positive environment. As a head lifeguard, it is expected that they uphold themselves to a standard that allows others to look towards them for guidance and leadership. It is expected that all head lifeguards respect one another, and work as a team. Clear, and respectful communication is necessary to have an effective team effort. This allows consistency in expectation with the lifeguards being overseen. Ensures that they are performing all job duties in compliance with all rules and regulations and that all company expectations are supported. Maintains constant surveillance of guests and team members in the facility. Acts at once and appropriately to secure the safety of guests in case of an emergency and serves as first level contact responding and documenting incidents which may occur when other lifeguard staff need help.
