The OR Assistant functions as a member of the Nursing Service Department by performing specified procedures according to hospital policies. Job Description: QUALIFICATIONS: - Assists in positioning and transferring of adolescent/adult/geriatric patients. - Assists in positioning of patients for surgical procedures. - Holds extremity(ies) for skin prep. - Delivers PACU stretchers/patient beds to room upon request from primary/associate nurse. - Assists in transferring the patients from the OR table to the PACU or patient's bed and assists in transferring patients to PACU when necessary. - Responsible for prompt cleaning of the room between cases: - Disposes of soiled linen and replaces with clean laundry bag. - Disposes of trash and re-lines buckets with plastic liners. - Mops floor with a clean mop and disin...
