City : Decatur State : Alabama (US-AL) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number: 43857 A Day in the Life: The Packaging Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of packaging equipment, performing PM maintenance and making minor repairs and producing quality product per production schedule while maintaining safety expectations. Position Details: 8,10, or, 12-hour schedule that will include off shifts, weekends, and rotations. What You’ll Be Doing: - Operate production line equipment (votators, shortening, liquid and tote line). - Troubleshoot production line issues to identify problems. - Perform and complete package quality checks and respond to problems, identify and handle off-quality products, and package supplies. - Interpret tank inventories and valve and pump settings to ensure the correct product is being filled and pumped. - Load and unload railcars and trucks. - Pump and/or dump ingredients into oil products. - Collect product samples from tanks, railcars, and tank trucks for analysis. - Transfer oil pro...
