Organization: CPMC-California Pacific Med Center Position Overview: Ensures a strong foundation in clinical, scholarly, and organizational elements of the bioethics profession while advancing fellows' individual interests and career goals. Participates in ethics consultation and support activities. Assists in identifying ethical issues, applies critical analytical skills to ethical dilemmas identified, and recommends a course of action for ethics issues. Participates in medical and clinical ethics rounds as well as presents clinical cases. Contributes to education conferences and participates in the Ethics Committee ensuring they are appraised of current developments in clinical ethics. Observes the functioning of other ethics committees. EDUCATION: Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Master's: Ethics or related field: TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 2 years recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrated knowledge of principles, concepts and methods of health care ethics consultation and bioethics.
