JOB OPENING: CITY OF FARMINGTON JOB POSITION #59 Temporary Signs and Markings Technician NUMBER OF VACANCIES: 2: DEPARTMENT: Community Works/Traffic: WORK LOCATION: Municipal Operation Center: PAY RANGE: $16.00/hour: TYPE OF POSITION: Temporary/Part-Time: DAYS WORKED: Monday-Friday: HOURS WORKED: 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. APPLICATIONS WILL BE RECEIVED: Until Filled JOB DUTIES: ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Works under the direct supervision of the Traffic Signs & Markings Supervisor. Installs, maintains, and repairs traffic signs including layout, assembly, and disassembly, pole (post) setting, straightening and graffiti removal. Assists in pavement marking installations, executing city-wide curb painting program, deploying traffic control for city-wide special events. Assists in the long line striping layout program. Assists in maintaining and operating thermoplastic machine. Assist signs and marking crew in scheduled sign maintenance or pavement marking work as directed by Traffic Signs & Markings Supervisor.
