Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Position will include weekends with additional hours as needed. Requirements: - Assess, interpret, plan, monitor, and document the nutritional status and nutritional needs of patients using evidence-based standards of care, policies and practice guidelines. Perform a nutrition-focused physical exam on patients. Identify and provide age-specific nutrition care and meet the cultural needs of the patients and their families. Work within an inter-disciplinary team to provide a plan of care to achieve the patient’s health goals. - Educate patients, care givers, students, and other health care colleagues on the effect of therapeutic diets and nutrition support to maintain/improve nutritional status. - When assigned, provide support and supervision to the daily infant formula preparation routine which includes identifying and calculating recipes to individualize the formula to meet nutritional needs of the infant. - Participate in department activities to enhance patient satisfaction. - Keep current on nutrition research and incorporate into daily practice.
