Description The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at Yale School of Medicine is expanding its clinical practice and seeks an outstanding Uveitis trained Ophthalmologist to serve as the Chief of the Division. The candidate must be eligible for an appointment as an Associate Professor or Professor at the Yale University School of Medicine. The Division Chief will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care, leading, and expanding the clinical footprint of the research division, mentoring, and developing faculty and staff while fostering a collaborative environment. Additionally, the Chief will play a key role in curriculum development, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and enhancing the division's national and international reputation. The department has a long-standing tradition of excellence in clinical care and research in multiple subspecialty areas of ophthalmology. Our faculty provides clinical services for patients at Yale Medicine Ophthalmology, the Dana Clinic at Yale New Haven Hospital, and the West Haven Veterans Affairs Hospital.
